Products / Stretch Puff
High-elastic puff that stays soft and unbroken on lycra, spandex, and athletic knit. For activewear, jerseys, leggings, and compression gear.
A standard puff transfer is built on a rigid resin. When the fabric stretches by 30% or more, the raised edge can split, the print can lift off the fibre, and the next wash usually finishes the job.
Stretch puff swaps that rigid resin for a high-elastic one. The raised edge moves with the fabric instead of fighting it, which keeps the decoration intact through wash and stretch cycles. The trade-off is a lower lift ceiling (we cap at 1.5 mm) so the print does not feel hard against the skin under tight gear.
Send us your artwork plus the fabric you plan to print on.
The high-elastic resin caps at 1.5 mm vs 2.0 mm for standard puff and 3.0 mm for 3D puff. Extreme sculptural lift trades off against stretch performance.
Full-color photographic art on stretch fabric is better served by puff DTF with stretch additive. Each spot color adds a screen.
Same screen-print process, different resin. Regular puff screen print uses a rigid plastisol that gives a higher lift but cracks under stretch. Stretch puff uses a high-elastic resin that moves with the fabric, at the cost of a lower maximum lift (1.5 mm vs 2.0 mm).
Yes, as long as the fabric has meaningful stretch (which most performance polyester does). For non-stretch polyester, standard puff is the cheaper and more durable choice.
The same as our other puff transfers, up to A3 in a single sheet. Larger prints can be tiled. For large back prints on stretch fabric, ask us about splitting the artwork to reduce stiffness in any one zone.
Vector AI or PDF is preferred. High-resolution PNG (300 dpi at print size) is accepted for raster designs.
500 pieces per design. Same MOQ as the rest of our puff family.
It is designed to survive 50+ wash and stretch cycles. To maintain the high-elastic resin, wash garments cold, inside-out, and tumble dry on low.
