What makes puff heat transfers different from flat prints, and where they earn their keep.
Strong 3D visual interest and depth. The lift shows up clearly in photos and even more so in hand.
Soft, springy, marshmallow-like to the touch. Not stiff, not plasticky.
Adds perceived value. A go-to for brands that want their logo to look considered, not stuck on.
Works across cotton, polyester, blends, fleece, lycra, and spandex with the right grade.
The raised, friendly texture is especially suited to kids tees, backpacks, hats, and home decor.
Pair with foil, glitter, metallic, or full-color DTF on the same design for hybrid effects.

Puff is not a universal solution. Two things to know before you commit.
The foamed layer has a microporous, fluffy structure, so hard rubbing or aggressive washing can damage it more easily than a flat print. For garments that take heavy abrasion (workwear cuffs, gym-bag straps), pair with a flat process or choose a lower raise height.
Turn the garment inside out and wash inside a laundry bag in cold water on a gentle cycle. Avoid long soaking and high-temperature tumble drying. With this routine, our puff transfers reliably pass 50+ home wash cycles.
